The write up is to be done as though you are in lab conducting the testing yourself. If we were in person in lab you would be given a culture tube of your assigned bacteria. You would inoculate the different media following the directions in your lab manual. After the specified incubation time you would record the results for your organism then complete your write up for your notebook. Since we are not in lab I have provided you with the results for your assigned bacteria in an excel data sheet. You will use those results to complete the notebook. To complete the notebook write up you will need to use a combination of resources: the Guidelines for metabolic testing notebook document, metabolic testing ppt, excel data sheets, and the name of your assigned bacteria ( Alcaligenes maltis) .If you can find images on the internet for the test results for your assigned bacteria then use them. If you cannot easily find them then use the representative pictures provided for you in the PowerPoint presentation (The pictures do not have to be for your specific organism if they are not easily available, just representative for the results). Every experiment in the PowerPoint needs to be included in your notebook for your assigned bacteria.
