- Opportunities: Opportunities are openings or chances for the company to grow and expand. They arise from situations outside of your chosen company that the company does not control. You will select and explore three (3) potential opportunities. These might come from developments in the market served, technological developments, changes in social patterns, demographics and/or lifestyles, competitors leaving the market, positive changes in government regulations, etc.
- Threats: Threats include anything that can negatively affect your chosen company from the outside. They arise from situations outside of your chosen company that the company does not control. You will select and explore three (3) potential threats. These might come from supply chain problems, shifts in market requirements, a labor shortage, changes in social patterns, demographics and/or lifestyles, changing external financial conditions, competitors entering the market, new and problematic government regulations, etc.
- Analysis: What is the potential value of these opportunities to the company? How serious are the threats listed?
