Question: Do a research on the AirBnb NYC dataset that can be accessed via https://www.kaggle.com/dgomonov/new-york-city-airb….
There’s a paper that I’ve already done for this topic, but it’s more like a business research. I need to fix it so it will be a statistic research paper with recommendation given. (attached below)
****Here’s the guideline that needs to follow:
Create a business memo (about eight pages) about a business problem or
opportunity based on data analysis. Consider data from Kaggle. In other words, find some interesting data and
“make up” a company and problem based on the data.
Outline of business memo
- Overview of the business memo:
- Briefly discuss the question that you are trying to answer.
- Briefly discuss what you found in your analysis.
- Briefly discuss your recommendation.
- Identify the issue:
- Problem or an…
- Opportunity
- Note: We often work on symptoms, not the underlying issue, so dig deep to find the REAL issue.
- Analyze the issue:
- Measures of central tendency (mean, mode, median)
- ANOVA – Note statistically significant differences, test your hypothesis:
- We need at least one categorical variable.
- Need at least one continuous variable.
- 30 records per category
- Linear regression – Specify a model, test hypotheses
- About 100 records
- At least two independent variables, at least one is continuous (the other can be categorical)
- The dependent variable should be continuous
- In your analysis, also attempt to answer the five W’s (who, what,
why, when, where, and how). This is your research and understanding
phase.
- Develop Alternatives
- There should be three to four alternatives:
- Consider the Status Quo
- Fast/quick
- Cheap
- High quality/low quality
- Hybrid
- There should be three to four alternatives:
- Evaluate the alternatives
- Rank them and score them using weighted factors.
- Make a recommendation.
- Briefly discuss the implementation.
- Briefly discuss the review.
- Summarize the memo.
Should be no longer than 10 pages, keep it short and exquisite.
Absolutely NO PLAGIARISM !!!
No
dictionaries or encyclopedias, especially Wikipedia, are allowed. You
must properly cite a source using the APA Style for anything that is not
common knowledge, let alone if you quote from it.
Use standard formatting (double-spaced, 12 point Times or Times New Roman, normal margins, page numbering, etc.).
DO NOT do a Title Page or sub-headings. Do a Works Cites section (which will not count for length).
