Religious art of Buddhism and Islam discussion
Find a work of art, either two-dimensional or three-dimensional, that has the religious symbolism of either Buddhism or Islam. Good sources for this assignment include ARTstor, Oxford Art Online, and the Metropolitan Museum. Embed the image in your discussion post and identify it as best as you can–artist name (if applicable), title, date, medium, location, dimensions, etc. Explain the context, content (including a discussion of any symbolism), and meaning of the work. How does this work represent the religion? Does it honor a deity? What message does it send?
