Read the article that I wll upload and answer these 2 questions
1- Bakan argues that a corporation’s main reason for existing is simply to make money for the stockholder’s, not to care about the environment, workers, or people living near their factories. In fact, businessman Peter Drucker says, “ If you find a executive who wants to take on social responsibility, fire him. Fast.” Should corporations worry about the world in which they exist, or should simply worry about making more money?
2- The Pfizer Corporation built a school near its corporate headquarters, provided security for a dangerous subway route, and helped spearhead a housing development in the neighborhood. However, it may have done this only as a public relations move, not out of any true compassion for the people involved. Do these good deeds, if motivated by selfish objectives (such as public relations or the profit motive), remain “good”?
