Compose 3 original poems utilizing the following three types of poetry. You may only utilize each style once. Make sure you use the correct structure of each style of poetry.
- Haiku – Utilize the haiku structure.
- Ekphrastic – Write a minimum of 5-10 lines, minimum of one stanza, and based on either a photograph or other object of art. It may either rhyme or be free verse, but it should be consistent either way throughout.
- Free Verse – Write a minimum of 6-10 lines and a minimum of one stanza.
Each poem should be on a separate page. At the top of each page, write a short introduction to the poem that includes:
- An explanation of what each poem is about
- Why you chose to write about this subject
- Why you chose to use this specific style for that subject
Submit all three poems in one Word document utilizing the APA template for this course. Each poem and its introductory paragraph should be on a new page within the template.
