Women achieved the vote with the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920. After that the women’s movement went quiet as they were no longer united behind one cause. One book helped change. For this assignment you will read one chapter from that book:
- In 1963, the book The Feminine Mystique was published and flew off the book stores as women absorbed the content, it helped with the rebirth of feminism in the 1960s (the creation of cheap and available birth control such as the pill also helped changed cultural norms).
