A woman sued McDonalds after being burned by coffee, FedEx and Uber drivers have sued the respective companies, and companies are sued every day for food poisoning or product liability issues. Each lawsuit has an impact on consumers through higher prices, the availability of products, etc. There are numerous laws in place meant to protect consumers, including through the Food and Drug Administration, Consumer Sales Protection laws, and laws against monopolies, to name a few.    • Why did they file the case? What happened?
   • What are the facts?If the case was decided already or settled, what was the outcome?
   • Why was the outcome reached? If the case is ongoing, what arguments are each side making?
   • What outcome will this case have on other businesses in the future?
