Reading: Chapter 4 – Classification: Alternative Techniques

Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the basis for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear and use examples to reinforce your ideas.
Discussion Question
Chapter 4 discussed the alternative techniques for building classification models.
- Explain the simple techniques (rule-based, etc.) and sophisticated techniques (artificial neural networks, deep learning, etc.) for building classification models and provide examples of each.
- Search internet or library and identify a data set to use in your example to show how a rule-based classifier works?
- Explain the basis of probability theory by applying Bayes Theorem.
