BOOSTING YOUR CONFIDENCE AS A PUBLIC SPEAKER
This module asks you to look at the chapter beyond the headings and title divisions. Throughout the chapter, he mentions several behaviors or thought processes that if engaged can significantly help reduce negative nervousness and free the speaker up to make a more confident presentation. For example, he says, “prepare, prepare, prepare.” Careful preparation will no doubt contribute to greater confidence in the speaking event. There are several others. Run back over the chapter and see if you can discover at least five other things we can do as public speakers to boost our confidence in the speaking setting.
