Each group will complete a project which looks at how public health has approached a specific health issue. To do this, each group will illustrate how public health has applied the three core functions of public health (assessment, policy development, and assurance) to improve the health issue. Specifically, each group will identify the Ten Essential Public Health Services implemented.
Assignment 2: Assessing the Problem
Using at least three credible sources (examples: government agencies, public health organizations, academic journals), define the health issue.
- How is the identified health issue monitored to identify and solve community health problems?
- Diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community.
Assignments and final projects will be accepted as a Word document or as a Power Point presentation.
