- YMCA of Natrona CountyWe focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility at the YMCA. The Y is a non-profit. We offer services to everyone in an accepting and inclusive environment and offer financial assistance for those who may need it. We would like to keep offering these services to all, but our funding is limited. Help sponsor a family who wants to live a healthier life and get involved with their community. Donate to your local YMCA today. Our target audience would be the community in Casper, WY. We would have flyers in public places around town, and we would also have commercials on TV and YouTube and possibly other streaming services. Guilt would be our platform as fear would not be useful in trying to get donations in this situation. “Guilt “occurs when an individual notes with remorse that s/he failed to do what s/he ‘ought to’ or ‘should’ do”” (Perloff, 2020. p 355). We want to encourage the community to help those in need, and to help an organization that does so much for the community. That is a statement we would use to. We would use guilt by pointing out the children who are in need of this community, and the large age group of people who could use the assistance, or the stay at home mom who is trying to improve her mental and physical health. We do so much for you, now we need your help. To keep financial assistance in play we require donations, volunteers, publicity, sponsors.Through a variety of events, we would work to raise money to help those who need assistance. We have fairs, sales, drives, fundraisers, contests, banquets, anything to grab the attention of our community. We stand for building a better community and spreading kindness and good will.Ethics are a funny thing. There is a fine line. Some may say that using guild as a source of persuasion is unethical. It can curve from the truth, cause emotional harm, and it can just be dirty play. What makes this ethical is that it is for the greater good. It is not meant to cause harm, just push people into helping out with their community.
