Upon completing readings for Paid Personal Time

Part II, choose two organizations from the Hearing Testimony 5/28/19 and write a 2-3 sentence stakeholder analysis including the information below:

1) Position: Do you agree/disagree with this stakeholder’s position and why?

2) Impact: How much impact will this legislation have on this stakeholder?

3) Influence/Power: How much influence or power does this stakeholder have in this decision making process?

*Please note that Paid Personal Time (Paid Vacation Time) is different from Paid Sick Time or Paid Family Leave.

Learning Objectives

Using the case study of paid personal time, we are continuing to learn about the five-step policy development. The readings below focus on the third step of putting together a proposal/ writing the legislation.

What does the legislative process look like? Bills are first introduced, gets a committee hearing, and go through votings and passage process. We will watch public hearings and read testimonies by various stakeholders.
