I need a paper written answering the prompt: “How revolutionary was the revolutionary war?” My professor is pretty thorough and though. She expects evidence to be used from her lectures (which unfortunately I cannot provide because she takes them down after every week). This is not my first time learning about the American revolution and the revolutionary war, and I can say that she pretty much taught the basics in a progressive, democrat-leaning view. She did talk a lot how it affects indigenous peoples, African Americans, and women. She did refer to the war as the ultimate David and Goliath story. We did talk a little about the enlightenment period and where these ideals of freedom, unalienable rights, etc were established. I perfer if you argued on the side that the revolutionary era was pretty revolutionary because the framers took ideals from many philosophers and turned it in to a functioning government. Also, the war was revolutionary due to the fact that massive underdogs won. Though you do not need to take that stance if you think you have better evidence and a better argument for the opposing side. We did talk about the articles of confederation, the problems with that, and the ratification of the constitution.
My Professor provided a lot of documents to help that I have attached. There’s a grading rubric, a “Do’s and Don’ts,” formatting, and a writing outline (You do not need to fill out that outline, it is just there so you can see the main details she wants). THIS PAPER IS THE UNIT 3 PAPER, disregard everything on those documents if it is talking about a different unit. This is due on the 31st (Sunday) and I need to look over it before and possibly make changes before I submit it. Thank you!
