The website is a Photography site

Part 1

The following are the requirements of the course-long development of your web site:

  • Your site must have at least 4 pages, not including the home page (5 pages total min)
  • Your code must pass validation by the W3C validator
  • Your site must contain images (at least a site-wide logo). They do not have to be originals.
  • Your site must contain a form. It can be for any purpose (eg. contact form)
  • You must have a menu or navigation bar

GET STARTED

I normally find it useful, after the planning step, to create the home page. This allows me to work through the layout of the page template and my creative process.

Feel free to explore other tags covered in class lectures and in the readings. Remember, the point of a web page is communication. Your home page should communicate an idea.

When I look at your website, it should be immediately evident what the website is about.

Using what you have learned thus far, create the CONTENT of your home page.

  • Start to form your basic page layout structure and start thinking about your color scheme
  • Do not worry about image or other multimedia (next few projects)
  • Do not worry about making a final copy of the home page. Developing is an iterative process.
  • If you include your menu or nav bar please make sure the links work, or don’t link to a dead page.

If you have questions about what should be included, refer to your planning document. Everyone’s project is different so it is difficult to make exact guidelines.
