Project # 2 A more complete analysis than project #1, this will include not only
the Financial Statements, (the BS, IS, and CF statements this time downloaded from
EDGAR),. A complete ratios analysis. Students must complete a forecast of both the
balance sheet and the income statement utilizing the Percent of Sales Technique from
chapter 5. This project also requires the estimation of beta from historic returns. In
addition, students will calculate the expected return of a stock, and lastly provide a
leverage analysis of the firm and the growth rate of dividends if possible or if the stock
does not pay dividends the growth rate of the EPS from Yahoo finance data.
The project will be graded as follows; Download and presentation of the data 25%,
ratios, leverage, and written analysis 25%, Beta calculations 25%, and Forecast of
statements 25%.
