The excerpt in the chapter titled “Are CEOs Overpaid?” discusses the results of a survey of 133 S&P 500 companies and the 2017 CEO median pay. The results also highlight the correlation between executive compensation and firm performance. As presented in the chapters, often there can be conflicts between stockholders and managers where some managers are more focused on personal wealth instead of shareholder wealth. (Brigham & Houston, 2019).

EACH STUDENT MUST SELECT A DIFFERENT COMPANY. When you have decided which company you will use for the discussion, view the discussion forum to ensure that no other student has selected the company. If so, you will have to select another company. Then create a new thread with the name of the company as the title so that your classmates are aware that the company is no longer available. You can edit the post after you have conducted your research.
You are also required to post a response to two of your classmates posting. Please refer to the rubrics for details and the grading criteria.
