TEAM TO USE FOR THE EXERCISE: PITTSBURGH PIRATES MLB
Now, this week, you are going to the Public Relations (PR) Director for that team as well and write a press release.

You’ll be graded on the format you use, and the writing of your press release. The topic is up to you — as mentioned in the virtual lecture, it can be something recent about your team, ( MLB draft, community function, trade, player sent to minors, etc). Use your best judgment. All of that will be taken into account for the grade. And again, if you’re with an NBA team, that will work as well.

1-Use the inverted pyramid style of writing, and include all key facts in your release. (75 points) including your contact info, etc.
2- I should know the ENTIRE STORY from your headline (10 points)
3-Add details in a sub head (5 points)
4- Provide a list of media organizations (newspaper, magazine, Radio, TV, web sites) that follow YOUR team that you’ll include on your distribution list. I need to see who would receive . (10 points)
