The purpose of the assignment is to identify resources to share with
one another. Given our professional obligation to utilize
research-based interventions, please be sure that the resources that
you are sharing are grounded in research.
I want to make sure that the resources are of value to you and the
population of students that you are working with, so I am going to
loosely structure the assignment to ensure that everyone is able to
gain educational benefit. With that being said, the resources can be
of any variety. Some examples might be (use of classroom token
economy systems, use of time-out ribbons, use of morning meetings,
specific social skills curriculum, etc.)
You will want to identify three resources. The presentation portion
will occur during our next face-to-face class and should be 5 minutes.
You can use any style of presentation that you feel most comfortable,
(power point, prezi etc.) and you will share your resources with the
class and briefly overview the supporting research. Make sure that
you have some type of handout so that your colleagues can go back and
reference the resources at a later date (examples may include copies
of power point slides, a quick reference, etc.)
You resource outline should be approximately three pages and should
provide a description of each resource and the corresponding research
related to each resource.
