The thing you need to do is prepare an outline, a power point, and a draft of an inform speech. before you begin to work, please give me the title of the speech, cuz I need to ask the professor it is okay or not.
Here’s the requirment from the professor, you also need to follow it:
The run-down: You’ll have 5-7 minutes to present your speech. TIME yourself and PRACTICE. I will have to cut you off at 7 minutes.
You can use visual aids if you would like (try to come early if you can if you have PowerPoint slides so we are not wasting class time while you find your slides. You can also use any props or materials you want. Just be careful transporting them to and from class. Review your chapter on visual aids for guidance.
Topic-wise, this is very open-ended to allow you to be creative. You might choose to do a demo speech or merely educate us about a topic or idea. ALL TOPICS MUST BE APROVED BY ME BY SATURDAY. Those who were in class, if you were not approved, make sure you reach out by Saturday.
Remember, you must CITE 2 SOURCES to support your claims. Review your textbook and notes from tonight (I’ve posted slides) about supporting material. The Oral Citations Guide I showed in class is also now up on Blackboard under Course Content, at the top.
