Instructions: To complete this assignment, you will need to do the following:
- Identify an institution of higher education that had a newsworthy event on campus (e.g. recorded in national, or regional news via broadcast, website, or print media).
- Provide a summary of the newsworthy event.
- Analyze which factors from the literature contributed to the event and identify root causes that created these factors.
- Evaluate the situation and develop substantive recommendations for improvement. Questions you may consider include:
- Why was the event significant?
- Did some factors play a larger role than others?
- Could the event have been avoided?
- Is the issue easily fixed?
- What will happen if the issue/event is not addressed?
- Is there any existing research that may be helpful in developing recommendations for improvement?
In addition, your assignment must:
- Be approximately 1200 words, not include title and references pages.
