This week’s laboratory will require you to analyze unknown soil samples for their arsenic concentrations. In order to do this, you will need knowledge of gravimetric analysis, so we will discuss some of the facets of that topic. Your initial post to the forum should be in response to the following:
Part One:
Describe the relationship between reaction yield, theoretical yield, and percent composition and their relationships to gravimetric and volumetric analyses.
- Define one of the four types of chemical reactions and include an example reaction in the form of the complete molecular equation.
- Explain the meaning of oxidation states and provide an explanation of how to determine them.
- Further the discussions of your peers by elaborating on the other three types of chemical reactions.
