I will upload the pp workbook and course materials when you accept this post.
Pos Psych Workbook Journaling: Your journal writing integrates course concepts into your life. We will offer prompts (in class, in the text, and at home) to facilitate constructive exploration into what makes you happy, raises your life meaning, reduces stress, and more. With the exception of participation exercises that are turned in on Canvas, your research project, and your final, all writing for this course should be captured in your journal. Please label each entry appropriately and compile into an electronic word document. Journals will be submitted via Canvas Week 10 (with 10 activities).
Your positive psychology electronic journal/workbook is where you will record all of your assignments done both in class and at home. You must do a minimum of 10 positive psychology exercises and describe them in the journal over the quarter (i.e., 1 per week). You can do (ALL or PARTS of) the exercises/activities provided in class, mini exercises from the textbook, or positive psychology ideas that you find online. YOU MUST ALSO HAVE A TABLE OF CONTENTS at the start of your workbook that indicates what page each assignment can be found (be sure to number the page as well). This is needed so that the TAs can find your assignments if you do them out of order. Assignments will be graded via participation and effort. READ THIS AGAIN. BASED ON COMPLETION not necessarily CORRECTNESS. DO NOT STRESS ABOUT THESE. Just try 10 exercises either from class or otherwise, reflect on the experiences conscientiously and you will get full points. Again: thoughtfully reflect on the answers, include your opinions, course content that’s relevant from the class discussions etc., you will get full points. If you want a TA to look over your work before the end of the quarter to make sure you are answering the questions completely, please feel free to do this via office hours. Also, use these workbooks to reflect and work on your wellbeing in whatever way you want. The TAs and Dr. Pressman will not share them with others and will keep your contributions private. Workbooks will only be collected week 10, so you have the option to do assignments late, however, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed from your peers, the class slides, recorded lectures etc. All workbooks will be turned in on Canvas so if you are using a physical book rather than an electronic document, be sure you have the capability to scan your assignments into a single pdf to turn in since we will not be able to accept PHYSICAL (non-electronic) submissions.
