1. After reading The War Powers Resolution: After 30 years and Authorization for the use of Military Force in Response to 9/11 attacks, explain how executive authority to commit U.S. Armed Forces changed after 9/11.  Building from the course readings and your own research, identify at least two key differences in the way the U.S. employed military force after 9/11.  Finally, do you believe the executive branch should have greater liberty to ally military force post-9/11?  

 

2. Based on what you have learned in this class, are Elizabeth Holtzman’s arguments for impeaching George W. Bush compelling? Is her judgment clouded or does she make a strong argument based on constitutional principles?
