Stance: People all over the world use the Internet every day and their uses changes over the time. Today, the use of the Internet is more than a luxury but it is an essential and the access to basic Internet service should be free to anyone in the world.

Purpose: To develop a thesis and explain your point of view

Audience: general audience already familiar with the issue

General Instructions: Write a college-level paper in which you make a stance on an issue and back it up with supporting arguments and evidence.

Essay Structure:

Introduction:

  • Briefly state a variety of opinions about the issue
  • Clearly state your position in the form of a solid thesis

Body:

  • Explain your supporting arguments in detail.
  • Provide solid support for your arguments
  • Keep your wording strong. You don’t have to be aggressive or hostile, but make sure you maintain your own voice throughout the paper.
