Grading Criteria:

You  will be responsible for creating your own discussion thread (think of  this as your response or statement regarding the discussion board  topic/question) and for responding to at least two other students’ posts.

Responses to the discussion prompt(s) should be written in complete sentences and should contain references to relevant course material from the text and/or other sources within the module. You are expected to respond to each question in the discussion prompt(s) with a minimum of two paragraphs written in complete sentences with no grammatical and/or spelling errors. Additionally, each of those paragraphs must contain a minimum of five sentences .  It  is helpful to create your response within Microsoft Word to take  advantage of spell check and then copy and paste it into the assignment  to submit.  Points will be deducted for spelling and/or grammar errors,  use of abbreviated or “texting” language and failure to adequately  respond to the question/topic.

Responses to the posts of other classmates should be a minimum of three sentences  in length and address the information contained in the student’s  original post, while also expanding on the concepts within the text and  course material. When you respond to classmates, please be respectful of  other view points and make sure that your response is thoughtful,  insightful, and extends the content of the initial discussion question.   Responses such as, “good job”, “I agree”, “I never thought of that,”  etc. will not be counted as a productive response and will not receive  any credit.
