Grading Rubric for the Science Project
Title (15 pts)
Name (5 pts DO NOT LOSE POINTS ON THIS!!!)
Abstract (15 pts) A short introduction to the project, no more than one paragraph. Be sure to state the goals method, and briefly what the results are. The purpose of an abstract is to tell people why they are interested in reading the paper. Indent the abstract by a half inch on either side (as shown here).
Introduction (15 Pts): Include the hypothesis and any background information here. This does not need to be long, maybe only 1-3 paragraphs. You might also include a brief statement as to why you chose this particular project, such as why it is interesting to you.
Method (25 pts): Include a description of the process and method of the project. Include any diagrams or pictures here. You must have at least one diagram (10/25 points).
Results (25 pts): Show the results here include any plots of the data here, and discuss what you found. If there were any difficulties or if your project didn’t work (it happens sometimes) discuss this here. You must have at least one plot (10/25 points).
Bibliography (not required unless you have sources that you quote): Include a list of all books, papers, websites, et cetera that you consulted.
