The Healthcare system is crucial in saving lives, and I think one thing that needs to be changed to make it effective is the high pricing of health services and products. Making healthcare affordable for all would have a significant effect on healthy living (Buettgens et al., 2021). The majority of ordinary citizens live below the poverty line and will frequently need healthcare services. The Medicare and Medicaid programs that have been developed to reduce healthcare costs are not that effective. If the government would go the extra mile to reduce medical treatment and drugs’ high costs, then most people would benefit from it. Sick individuals fear visiting the hospital even for a checkup due to high costs, which is why most people come to the hospital when they are overwhelmed by diseases. That is why a high number of patients with chronic or acute diseases end up losing their lives (Buettgens et al., 2021). Most nations provide free primary and secondary educations and give bursaries to middle-level colleges and universities. I would recommend the same to healthcare to save lives and promotes healthy living, high productivity, and long life expectancy.
