For this assignment, you will be writing an argument in order to persuade another person that your claim regarding the classification of viruses as living or non-living is valid and should be accepted. After analyzing the supplemental information (attached documents and Chapter 2 of your textbook), you will write your argument, being sure to include the following elements to your argument:
1) State the claim that you are trying to support.
2) Include genuine evidence to support your claim; this information can be found in the supplemental information and in chapter 2 of your textbook. Use multiple lines of evidence from these sources to support your claim.
3) Provide a justification of your evidence that explains why the evidence that you have chosen to use is relevant and why it provides adequate support for your claim.
4) Write a concluding paragraph reemphasizing your stance on the classification of viruses as living or non-living. Also include any of the objects from Table 10.1 that seem to be a gray area for you on whether the object is living or non-living. Why do these objects fall into a gray area for you?
5) Take time to organize your argument in a logical and readable manner.
6) Include some of the vocabulary words included in the supplemental information and chapter 2 of the textbook.
7) Use correct grammar, punctuation, and check for proper spelling.
