You will compile a case study in Units 3, 5, and 8 of this course, based on the Automotive Inc. (AI) Hypothetical Strike. Approach this assignment as an industrial and organizational psychology professional that is to advise and help the management and employees at AI following the hypothetical strike.
For Part 1 of your case study, you will write a 2–3-page expository essay (excluding cover page and reference page) that that will serve as the analysis component for your presentation in Unit 9.
For this section of the case study, you will analyze the AI company, the union demands, and all impacted suppliers. You will look to see what AI needs are due to this hypothetical strike and what possible options are for stopping future strikes.
Include the following in your essay:
- Provide an overview of AI prior to and after the hypothetical strike.
- Identify and describe how the strike effected AI factories and supply chains.
- Describe how the impacts of the strike is aligned to industrial and organizational psychological principles, theories, and ethical practices and provide rationale.
- Describe employee and front-line supervisor considerations (health benefits, job security, job loss, training, etc.)
- Choose a minimum of three tools in your analysis of AI and provide rationale for your choices.
- Explain what data and collection means you will use to provide the company’s needs analysis.
- Explain two leadership theories and how the strike effected leadership.
