PGCC Types of Contaminants in Water Systems in The USA Discussion

Discuss the impact climate change has on the water systems and related infrastructure in the Midwest. Expand on the direct and indirect effects resulting from the cascading hydrology changes. Explain how the changes in the water quantity and quality will affect community health in this region. Be sure to include any strategies or policy efforts implemented at local, state, or federal level to mitigate the consequences and negative health issues resulting from water pollution compounded by changing climatic condition. Be sure to include peer-reviewed research to support your assertions.

As part of your responses to your peers, include what types of contaminants (biological, chemical, physical) are in the water. Address the toxicokinetics of the contaminant, prevalence, how the contaminant can be neutralized or removed, and how to prevent the contaminant from getting into the water. Finally, indicate your position on the difference between healthy and legal levels of contamination, what chemicals are tested for, or the status of the Clean Water Act.
