Emotion Journal and Thought Paper: For the first 6 weeks of the course, I would like you to keep an emotion journal.
(Already done)
- 1) What was the strongest emotion that you felt in that week or on the particular day you were journaling?
- 2) What did you notice about that emotion (physiological changes, cognitive changes, behavioral changes, sensory experiences)?
- 3) Is there anything that you did to regulate that emotional experience, and if so, what did you do?
(I already completed the journal and will attach the document)
Your prompt: turn in a one-page single-spaced paper in which you will write about what you think emotion is (What is an emotion?) based on the observations that you made in your Emotion journal. This paper will be graded based on the thoughtfulness of your conclusions. There are no right or wrong answers.
I also included notes from my lectures. Please use that as a resource wherever possible instead of using random online resources. when describing an emotion you can use examples like whether you think emotion is best defined through Darwin’s model or James’ model.
