For this assignment, students will compare and contrast Piaget’s Stages of Cognitive Development with Vygotsky’s Socio-cultural Theory of Cognitive Development. The paper should describe each theory, including the potential shortcomings/critiques associated with each. To conclude the paper, discuss what you agree and/or disagree with in each theory and why based on what students have learned about young children’s development.
