Each answer should be at least 2 pages double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman, 1-inch margins. Please make sure to label each of your responses with the question that you are answering.
For each answer, you should incorporate at least 2 outsides sources that are peer-reviewed academic journal articles (e.g. Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, etc). You may have additional sources that are not journal articles, but at least 2 of your sources should reference journal articles. Please use MLA or APA formatting. You do not need to cite your textbook, lecture, or case studies unless you are using direct quotes; however, you should cite any other material used. If you are directly copying something that is not in your own words, you need to include quotation marks with the authors and page number cited (this is the one exception when you should cite your textbook if you quote from it). However, please quote sparingly and put into your own words when possible. You should have a “references” section at the end of your exam with the full citations for your sources.
While you can use any outside sources, you may not discuss this final exam with anyone in the class. If you have questions, please contact me. You may, however, have someone outside of the class read over your answers and provide you with edits before submitting the paper. However, you should be asking for edits only; no one else may write a portion of your answers for you.
GRADING: I will be grading you on the thoroughness and thoughtfulness of your responses, your integration of material from the textbook and lecture, and the integration of your outside sources. You should not rely heavily on quotes; the majority of the paper should be in your own words with appropriate citation of outside sources. Additionally, your writing should be professional and virtually grammar- and error-free.
TIP #1: To search for journal articles, go to “library.drexel.edu,” click on “Databases,” select “Business Source Complete,” and search for titles or keywords. After you search, on the bottom left, you can select “academic journals” and then “scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals” as an option—I encourage you to do this. Then, only peer-reviewed journal articles will appear.
TIP #2: To format in APA, a great resource is at http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/. You do not need to worry about a title page or abstract; just use this as a source for how to correctly format in-text citations, quotes, and references.
