A bibliography is a list of citations to sources that you’ve used when researching a topic. An annotated bibliography includes a summary and evaluation of each source. These annotations are written in paragraph form.

An annotated bibliography provides an excellent way to prepare for your capstone project. By writing an annotation for each source, you must read it carefully and more critically.

Assignment – Part 2

For the second part of your annotated bibliography, you are to find and annotate sources that relate to the solution options for your targeted problem. These should be primarily peer-reviewed articles that relate to or evaluate specific practices, programs, or procedures that would address the problem. For this section of your paper, you will want to identify 8 – 12 peer-reviewed sources. For each source you identify, you should include the following:

  • A full APA formatted citation of the source
  • A brief summary (no more than 1 paragraph in length). Summary should include:
    • Purpose, research question, etc. (1-2 sentences)
    • Data and methods used (1-2 sentences)
    • Results and conclusion (1-2 sentences)
  • Analysis of the source (1 paragraph): Your analysis should include the following:
    • A brief review of the credibility of the source
    • Evaluate the strengths/limitations of the source,
    • Its relationship to other studies/sources in the field
    • Evaluation of research methodology (if applicable)
    • Provide an analysis of how this source is useful for your paper.
