2. Using the research engines on the EC Library web site, Google Scholar (www.scholar.google.com), or any other search tools, you will locate a minimum of five (5) peer reviewed literature sourcesthat you can use to help explain your topic.
3. Here is the scenario for your assignment: Suppose that it is a few years in the future, and you have been hired as a consultant to the President of Elmhurst College, Dr. Troy VanAken. Dr. VanAken has a background as a mathematics professor, but also as a coach and athletic director, and in business. He is not, however, an expert in your field. You will have to write your essay for a very well educated person, but you will still have to explain unfamiliar technical terms in your essay to him.
5. You will write a 3-5 page essay explaining your topic (and its technical terms) to Dr. VanAken. Remember that he is not an expert in your field, so you are going to have to help him by explaining the unfamiliar technical terms in your essay. You will cite your articles (using the correct citation style) in your essay, including a “Literature Cited” section at the end.
6. You will use the articles you found in explaining the topic to Dr. VanAken. He is also very interested in word origins, so be sure to explain the technical terms (root words, prefixes, and suffixes) that are used in your sources, and in your essay. Your essay must cite a minimum of five (5) literature sources, and must discuss a minimum of five (5) technical terms from your sources.
