Learning Outcomes for Digital Transformation Strategy Project
A digital transformation strategy aims to create the capabilities of fully leveraging the possibilities and opportunities of new technologies and their impact faster, better, and in more innovative ways in the future. A digital transformation journey needs a staged approach with a clear roadmap, involving a variety of stakeholders, beyond silos and internal/external limitations. This roadmap takes into account that end goals will continue to move as digital transformation de facto is an ongoing journey, as is change and digital innovation. In this last module of this course, we will explore “Digital” Business Roles and Functions, Developing Digital Capabilities & Preparing for the Industry Disruptions, Meeting the Ethical Challenges of the Digital Organization, and Delivering a Digital Strategy. At the completion of this module, students will be able to:
- Understand the need for establishing clear strategic objectives for digital strategy and key digital performance indicator metrics (KPIs) to measure an organization’s progress against its digital vision,
- Assess and address strategic opportunities and challenges unique to digital interactions,
- Understand how digital channels complement, substitute for, and/or disrupt brick and mortar channels,
- Assess the constellation of interrelated factors (the 7s: strategy, structure, staff, skills, systems, style, and share values) that influence an organization’s ability to drive the significant organizational change that is required to “go digital”.
