Objective 1: Identify standards contained within the ethics code for human services and how they relate to advocacy.

As a member of the family of helping professionals, it is extremely important that we understand within ourselves what being ethical means. Look within yourself for your personal level of ethics, and ensure that professionally, you are adhering to established standards of behavior.

• Prepare to share in discussion the following points: 
  • Choose two standards contained within the code.
  • Describe them in more detail and explain how they apply to you personally.
