I’m working on a writing multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
- Write a paragraph about caring for a suicidal patient. Include what the environment should look like and what is allowed and not allowed when you are sitting, be as detailed as possible. Turn in suicide packet filled out correctly (see attachment).
- Write a paragraph about hourly rounding, include 4P’s, answering call bells, greeting new patients on the floor, and setting up new rooms. Be as detailed as possible.
- Write a paragraph with step by step instructions on how to take vitals signs from the moment you enter the room until the moment you leave the room, also include how you document vitals, specifically respirations. Respirations should be completed on every single patient!! If you are not doing this, please start ASAP, you can chart respirations from the welch allen (vital sign machine) machine. If you are unsure how to do this- please reach out to your educator.
- Must come one of these four days to be checked off on AED/Restraints.
Examples:
- Why do we use hourly rounding, what’s the proper verbiage, who hourly rounds, and hourly rounding documentation? Why is it important?
- Welcoming patients to the floor- setting up rooms, AIDET, setting expectations
