WK1 Personal Mission Response
Objective: Write a personal mission statement regarding the kind of biblical leader you wish to become.
Instructions
We have looked at characteristics common to biblical leaders, a biblical leader you admire, and now it is time to look at you. In light of all you have discovered in the first two objectives, what is it that you wish to import into your own life as a biblical leader from biblical examples? What is your code, your mantra, or the personal leadership lens through which you wish to view life?
Read pp. 106-109, and 128-129 in your Covey textbook.
Write your personal mission statement according to the criteria below.
Your personal mission statement:
- Needs to be memorizable.
- Needs to be repeatable.
- Needs to be simple, only 3-7 bullet points.
- Is not etched in stone; it may morph or change over time. As you change and grow as a leader, so will your personal mission statement.
- Needs to be clear.
- Needs to be specific.
- Needs to be do-able.
