WK4 Advocacy Paper
Objective 2: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the process of advocating for a client.
Last week we discussed information gathering, synthesis, and planning action that will be effective in achieving goals. This week, as we move our focus to a deeper understanding of advocacy, we will be demonstrating this while incorporating ethics standards, showing the importance of remaining moral and ethical during the delivery of services to our clients who may not be able to do so for themselves.
- Read Excelling in the Role of Advocate: A Qualitative Study Exploring Advocacy as an Essential Physiotherapy Competency
- Write a 2-3 page paper which discusses the eight attributes described in the article study as necessary for effective advocacy.
- For each of the eight attributes, identify at least one applicable ethics code standard and explain why it is appropriate.
