Your assignment this week is to create a campus newsletter to describe structural equation modeling (SEM) to graduate-level psychology students. Be sure your newsletter addresses the following:
- Explain structural equation modeling (SEM) and how it works.
- Indicate when SEM is used? How does SEM relate to/differ from d factor analysis, path analysis, and regression?
- Review path diagrams.
- Provide a discussion of the role of path diagrams in SEM and how they might be interpreted.
- Create an original example of an SEM path diagram. You can do this using Word’s Insert shapes/lines functions. Describe the important elements of your path diagram.
- Identify software programs that are used to run SEM analyses.
- Offer a brief summary of an article which uses SEM as an example for your audience. Provide the complete citation and reference for your article.
Use graphs, images, and other visual aids to enhance the presentation of your newsletter.
Length: 3 to 5-page newsletter, not including title or reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 4 scholarly resources, one of which can be the article you included in your newsletter.
The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course.
