What is your search strategy?
Literature reviews are very beneficial in Public health research because the information provides up-to-date reviews on specific topics related to Public health professionals’ fields (“Literature reviews | SPH,” 2021). In addition, the reviews are used to find gaps in research and ideas for advancing research for the future. The focus of my research will be on the prevalence of Cardiovascular disease and hypertension among minority populations. The strategy is to gather information through the many public health database resources such as PubMed-National Institutes of Health, The World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control, Mayo Clinic, and heart disease resources and scholarly journals. Once I have enough data on the causes, statistics, challenges, and preventative methods of (CVD) and hypertension I will then formulate results, discussions, and awareness on what has been found from my research. Moreover, key terms and search words I will use for my research will include, heart condition, stroke symptoms, elevated heart rate, Vital-sings, morning hypertension, and complication (Wang et al., 2017).
Use of Boolean operators
Boolean operators are used to adding words or separate keywords in a search engine. I use Boolean operators all the time, especially when searching for specific topics when using the Grand Canyon University Library. Booleans are very helpful and allow me to receive specific information on the topic I am searching for. I will use Boolean operators (AND, OR, and NOT), when connecting several pieces of information for a certain topic, to connect similar concepts, and to narrow searches.
