In week 5, we will transition our focus to holistic and patient-centered care. Specifically, we will discuss palliative and end-of-life care.
Our objectives for this week include:
Identify challenges related to the nurse’s role in providing alternative therapies for patient care
Analyze the use of complementary and alternative medicine approaches in relation to alternative therapies for patient care
Evaluate complementary and alternative medicine approaches in teaching plans for nurses
Analyze the role of the nurse and patient in developing care plans
Analyze quality improvement dashboards for nursing plans
Make sure to review the week 4 resources that pertain to NDNQI and dashboard usage. The dashboard data is located in the Week 4 Resources titled, Sample Dashboard (Excel Workbook). It would be good for you to begin this assignment early. This will be a formal written paper. Be sure you understand all the elements of this assignment. Please thoroughly review the rubric for this assignment. I also recommend using Grammarly prior to submitting this assignment through SafeAssign. The Dashboard Application Assignment is due Sunday of Week 5.

Remember, since this is a formal paper, it needs to be in APA format and information needs to be supported with citations (except when discussing the dashboard data).
