The development of a high-quality education program for health professionals can be a complex process, encompassing many elements, and considering various influences and factors. Challenges related to the success of the education program may not be evident until the delivery or perhaps at the evaluation phase of the education program. Having a sound awareness and understanding of contemporary issues related to program development, along with strategies to avoid the potential challenges is essential for those involved in education program development.
You are required to write an essay in which you examine contemporary topics related to education program development and consider the relevance to health professions education. The aim of this assessment task is to demonstrate your appraisal of the literature relating to education program development and the factors that influence its application in health professions education.
You are to explore in detail one of the proposed topics:
