Clinical Objectives 

Assess the health needs and assets of the community and family.

Agencies and resources include, but are not limited to: crisis centers, child care facilities, shelters, senior centers, community clinics, schools, churches, State Department of Health & Human Services. 

Evaluate environmental factors influencing health within the community. 

Agencies and resources include, but are not limited to: family interviews, environmental protection agency, water departments, and agriculture (pesticides & chemicals).

1. Analyze national, state and community initiatives in prevention, preparation, and response to disaster management.  

Agencies and resources include, but are not limited to: FEMA, Red Cross, County Health Department, Health & Human Services, State Office of Emergency Management, State and local Departments of Public Safety, Fire and Police Departments, and hospitals.

1. Evaluate the community’s plan for management of mass casualties.
