Disseminating quickly is also a key to success, yet in the political red tape that is so natural in the health care world this can be hard. I have found that there are several techniques that can help to speed up the dissemination and effectiveness of dissemination and that is proving hard evidence of the “problem” or issue to the involved stakeholders.
It is always a good idea to make copies of a few of the articles from the studies that you are using to support your solution. You could also include any recommendations from The Joint Commission, CDC, or other agencies as appropriate. Evidence to lend credibility is always a very good idea. It gets their attention and they don’t have to depend on just what you say for proof, just go ahead and provide it for them! What are a few of the documents you might want to send your stakeholders prior to presenting them with idea for a new EB innovation? Anyone?
