Directions
Assignment 5 is an individual-based project which requires you to conduct a multiple linear regression analysis of a quantitative independent variables and pay rate. In doing so, you must do the following:
- Conduct a regression analysis for a quantitative independent variables and the rate of pay;
- Determinte the model fit (amount of variation explained by the model);
- Test significance of the estimated regression coefficients at 5% level of significance
- Specify the estimated regression model;
- Conduct predictions using the estimate model
After completing items 1 – 5, the following is required:
- Prepare the report on the analyses conducted;
- Prepare the table summarizing estimated regression coefficients and their significance
- Predict the expected hourly pay rate for the following groups of employees and summarize your predictions in a table:
- A full-time Black male with 5 years of service in Police department;
- A part-time Black male with 5 years of service in Police department;
- A part-time White female with 10 years of service in Police department;
- A part-time White male with 10 years of service in Police department;
- A full-time Hispanic male with 5 years of service in Fire department;
- A full-time White male with 5 years of service in Fire department;
- A full-time Black male with 5 years of service in Fire department.
- Attach the Excel spreadsheets that contain the statistical output. Failure to attach the Excel spreadsheets to the assignment to verify that you performed the analysis will result in a 30 point deduction.
