Discussion 15 – Project Management and Agility the Future

(Initial post due by Saturday of Week-9, replies due by Thursday of Week 10-(LAST DAY OF CLASS) @ 11:59 PM CT)

Assignment:

Agile, Lean, and DevOps approaches are radical game changers, providing a fundamentally different way in how projects and products are managed. Schwartz (2017) notes that the role of management (e.g., Project Management) in an Agile world needs to change/adapt to add value. Much of the Agie literature minimizes or even dismisses the need for project management. For your initial response draft a response to the following:

  • Reflecting on Schwartz (2017) and discuss how an Agile Project Manager can earn “a seat at the table” in agile projects?
  • What do you think the role of the Agile Project Manager will be in the future?
  • Write a brief (“Amazon type”) review of Schwartz (2017).

Initial Response

Your initial submission should be approximately 550-650 words. Your summary should include APA 6.0 compliant in-text citations and references. (If you are new to APA style please see the APA style references located from the Citation Styles Link under the eCourse Portal page.
