Pick one of the following organizations (your choice, but try to pick one not already picked by other students if you’re a late poster). I want you to go to their website (use Google to find it) or organizations from http://www.nonprofitlist.org/, locate their mission statement by hunting around the site, copy and paste it into your posting (or retype it), and then critique it against these measures:
a) Who (describe the people) does the mission statement imply that the organization serves?
b) Does the mission convey a problem statement and means of attacking the problem that would appeal to potential donors?
c) How clearly does the mission convey what the organization is about? If you were a staff member, would you understand what you were striving to achieve? Is it too long/too short?
